Ferozepur: Mobiles, data cables, chargers recovered from inside jail
Ferozepur, January 21, 2022: During the search operation carried out under the supervision of Kailash, Assistant Superintendent, and his team, three mobiles, two data cables, and one charger was recovered from inside the jail.
Frequent recovery of banned items from inside the jail has put a question on the security arrangements at the entry points besides threat on the usage of mobiles.
As per the details, one mobile with a SIM card was recovered from under trial prisoner Satpal Singh lodged in new barrack number 3. Later on, another mobile with battery but without SIM cad was recovered from the flush outside the barrack. Apart from this, two data cables and one charger were also recovered from the wood sticks lying outside the barrack.
A case under the Prisons Act has been registered on the complaint of Assistant Superintendent and further investigations entrusted to Kuldip Singh IO with special focus on the usage of mobile phones by the jail inmate.
