Farmer outfits put forward three major demands, threaten to launch Jail Bharo Morcha from March 29

Ferozepur March 18, 2019: Farmers in the state under the banner of Kissan Sangharsh Committee Punjab in its meeting held at Gurudawara Arifke, of five zones Core Committee meeting, under the tutelage of Sahib Singh Dineke, District Secretary, decided to launch Jail Bharo Morcha from March 29 in case the main three demands are not acceded to by the government.

Condemning both State and Centre governments, Dineke said, the main three demands of the farmers are – waiving off full loan of the farmers, return of cheques obtained illegally from the farmers against the loan and plantation of paddy from June 1.  

He said, in case their demands are not accepted by the government, the Kissan Sangharsh Committee Punjab will launch a Jail Bharo Andolan and present a group of 51 farmers for arrest.

He also stressed over accepting of the remaining demands of the farmers like the release of balance payments of sugarcane, implementation of Dr.Swaminathan report, tightening the noose over sand and drug mafias and corruption, an arrest of accused in Kacchar Bhan incident, the arrest of ASI for accepting bribe etc.

Giving a warning to the government, Sukhwant Singh Lahoka in a press release said, in case the government showed dilly-dallying attitude in accepting their demands and arrest of the farmers, they had planned to gehrao the residence of the Ministers and MLAs from March 31.
