Ferozepur, December 15, 2016 : The Punjab Governments employees working on adhoc basis to register their protest for non issuance of notification for regularisation of their services despite taking a final decision in the Cabinet Meeting on October 25, by distributing 50,000 Carry Bags depicting the poor policies of the government.
Giving this information, Rajinder Singh, State Press Secreary and Ashish Julaha, State Vice President, SSA/RMSA Office Employees Union said, more than one month has passed but no notification has so far been issued by the government despite taking a decision by the cabinet in its meeting held on October 25.
They further said, returning of the file by the Governor which is a clear cut indication that the government has adopted dilly-dallying attitude to settle the long pending demands of its employees.
In a meeting with the Chief Minister in this regard, an indication was given for issuing of the notification within 2-3 days but instead of issuing of orders, the file looks to have lost in procedural wrangles, they added. Not only this, the employees have not been paid their wages for the last four months, he further added.
Taking cognizance of attitude of the government, the Union has decided to express their resentment by distributing 50,000 Carry Bags outside the Bus Stand in Sector 43, Chandigarh, among the public, on December 16, exposing the cheap delaying tactics of the government, they said.
Further giving a warning to the government, they said, in case they are not regularized before the elections, the alliance ruling government of Akali-BJP will have to face the music of the employees.
