District Session Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate visit SOS Children’s Village, Rajpura

Rajpura May 9, 2018: District and Sessions Judge Sanjiv Berry and CJM Ashish Kumar along with his team visited SOS Children’s village Rajpura.

SOS Children’s Villages is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization working for the holistic development of parentless children and children belonging to vulnerable families. Founded in 1949 in Austria, SOS Children's Villages began its operations in India in 1964. For over 50 years, we have reached out to over 25,000 children through our 32 SOS Children's Villages and 32 community projects in India. Currently, there are 7000 children under our Family Based Care program in India.

Although it’s challenging to deal with abandoned and orphan children on day to day basis and shape their career to be a responsible citizen which SOS is doing for past 68 years. But it becomes easier when responsive authorities of the society extend their unconditional support for the cause of holistic development of these children.

It was an honour for SOS Children’s village Rajpura to host the visit of Hon'ble District and Session Judge Shri Sanjiv Berry, Hon'ble Chief Judicial Magistrate Shri Ashish Kumar Bansal and his team on 7th May 2018.

The District and Session Judge interacted with SOS team and appreciated their work for supporting children for a long time until they become independent in life. They encouraged SOS team to overcome all the obstacles and continue the services with complete passion and dedication. Later, he took a round of the Children’s Village and interacted with many children to talk about their education and nutrition. All the children expressed their happiness to be under the care of SOS family.

They regularly visit SOS Children’s Village every month and guide youth boys and girls towards the quality settlement in life. SOS staff and children always feel enlightened by the visit and guidance of Shri Sanjiv Berry.
