Disha Public School holds First Annual Sports Meet
Ferozepur, November 5, 2019: Disha Public School at village Bagge Ke Pippal – dedicated for extending education in the rural area – organized its first Annual Sports Meet which was inaugurated by Sunil Sharma, District Sports Officer, Ferozepur.
The events organized were 50m, 100m, 200m hurdle race, frog race, sack race, Kho Kho, kabaddi, badminton, javelin, long jump, shot put etc.
The winning players were hnoured with medals by the Chief Guest and Director, Satinder Pal Sandhu.
Addressing the students, DSO highlighted the importance of sports in life which keeps physically and mentally fit and keeps them busy in various sports activities to be away from anti-social activities and drugs. He congratulated the students who excel in sports activities can get priority in getting government jobs under the sports quota.
Conveying thanks to the Chief Guest, parents, guests and students, Principal Pimardeep Kaur Sandhu applauded the winning students and those who could not get any position were motivated with a word – Get Ready, there is always Next.
