Cops nab two drug peddlers with habit-forming drugs
Ferozepur, September 8, 2018: The Ferozepur police have nabbed two persons identified as Bunty and Salim while the third one is absconding, with the recovery of habit-forming drugs.
Giving this information, Inspector Jasvir Singh informed that both Bunty and Salim were arrested from near Bajaj Dairy Basti Bhattian Wali Ferozepur City in the evening on getting a tip-off, while the third managed to escape identified as Rahil of Basti Awa, Ferozepur City.
On searching, as many as 1100 habit-forming drugs – Alprazolam – were recovered from their possession and these three persons are supplying the drugs for long.
All these three have been booked under NDPS Act Sections 22, 61 and 85 IPC and further investigations are on to ascertain as to from where these accused were getting the habit-forming drugs and its further sale in which areas. The involvement of local chemists cannot be ruled in making available the drugs to these persons.
