Congress contesting LS Polls with positive agendas – Mohit Mohindra, President PYC

Ferozepur, May 24, 2024:  On Friday, Mohit Mohindra, Youth Punjab President, holding a press conference at Press Club made tall promises of the agenda of the Congress party saying that Congress is contesting Lok Sabha Polls with a positive agenda.  This time the India bloc will form the government with 180 to 200 seats.

Counting the manifestos numbers, he said, the BJP considers permanent jobs as a burden and promotes the contract system.  We guarantee to create 30 lakh government posts in the Central government and give them to the youth as their right.

He also talked about flagship programmes of the Congress party like the Yuva Nayay programme, the right to apprenticeship, filling up vacancies in the state, waiving off of application fees, waiving of student loan interest, giving of Rs.8500 to the eldest women in the poor families, giving the name of Mahalakshmi Yojna.    He said, Congress is the only party giving guarantee for MSP and this promise will be farmer-friendlyHe said, only because of these programmes of the Congress party, the people of Punjab are bending towards Congress and sending the maximum number of their representatives to Parliament.

In reply to the question over the opening of the international border, he said, these are serious issues and there is a need for a mature and serious government and it is not expected from the present government.

He confirmed the candidate of Congress as Sher Singh Ghubaya and would keep before the people the agendas of the government.

On caste census, he said, we should not make this a big issue; rather we should see the candidate, who can come up to take up the major issues in the Parliament.
