Christopher Gibbon, Canadian Consulate General at Chandigarh pays visit to Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 4, 2016: Christopher Gibbon, Canadian Consulate General at Chandigarh paid visit to Ferozepur, a border district with a view to know about the culture, living style of people, skill development education and about the various services like Right to Service Act being extended by the Punjab Government.
Er. DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur formally welcomed the
Canadian Consulate General (CCG) Christopher Gibbon on his official visit to DAC complex.
CCG was put wiser about the historical background, development works, skill development centers, Suwidha Centers, Saanjh Kendras, Fard Kendras etc. He was also taken to a round of the DAC complex and Skill Development Centre running in the Gwal Mandi.
Later, CCG also visited dairy farm with modern techniques being run by Jagdip Singh at Village Aansal.
Speaking on this occasion, CCG said, there is strong emotional, cultural bonding between India and Canada which is strengthening day by day.
He also appreciated the skill development training being imparted to the youths under one roof for timely services and Agri. allied professions in Ferozepur District by the Punjab Government.
CCG also applauded the initiative of Deputy Commissioner and district administration for showing the path of employment to the youths trained from these skill development centers.
