Celebrate cracker-free Green Diwali, Press Club Ferozepur exhorts citizens
Ferozepur, October 24, 2022: President, Press Club Ferozepur along with members of the club promoted the concept of ‘Green Diwali’ by distributing plants outside the Delhi Gate in the city.
Malkiat Singh President said, the initiative has been launched to motivate the people to love nature by highlighting the environmental-friendly Diwali celebrations.
All the members of the club, who are working tirelessly towards welfare of the society apart from journalism, urged the people to shun the use of crackers that are not environment-friendly and celebrate a cracker-free Green Diwali. The members of the club distributed saplings of different varieties among the residents to help strengthen the message of the club.
Speaking on the occasion, a retired bank officer, R.K.Grover, on receiving the sapling said, “Keeping in view the alarming global situation, all of us must preserve nature and take care of our own health”.
