BSF troops in Ferozepur neutralize China-Made drone carrying Heroin on Border

Ferozepur, August 14, 2024:  During the night hours, a drone movement was observed on Ferozepur border by BSF troops on duty. Immediately technical counter measures were activated to neutralize it, followed by an extensive search.

The search culminated at around 01:20 am with the successful recovery of one along with one plastic bottle of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 538 Grams). The plastic bottle was partially wrapped with red adhesive tape and attached to the drone with a nylon loop. An illuminating stick was also found attached with the packet. This recovery took place adjacent to village Pacharian in Ferozepur  district.

The recovered drone has been identified as a China made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.  Quick reaction by the dutiful and vigilant BSF troops resulted in this significant recovery of a drone with narcotics launched from across the border.
