BSF seizes 5.150 kg heroin from near Punjab border
Ferozepur, February 13, 2021: On the intervening night of 12/13th Feb’ 2021, alert BSF troops performing duty along IB in area of 136 Bn BSF, Ferozepur sector observed suspicious movement ahead of Border Security Fence. Sensing the threat and to stop the misadventure, troops fired in the direction of suspicious movement, but the miscreant managed to escape taking advantage of poor visibility due to dense fog.
On searching the area, BSF troops seized 05 packets of contraband (Approx. 5.150 Kgs) suspected to be Heroin in the area of responsibility of 136 Bn BSF, Ferozepur Sector.
Vigilant troops of Border Security Force once again thwarted the attempt of Anti- National Elements to push the consignment of contraband items into India.
During the year 2021, BSF has effected 56.099 Kgs including today’s seizure, Apprehended 3 Indian Border Crosser, Apprehended 11 Pak Nationals, One Pak Intruder killed, 5 Weapon of different types, 5 magazine of different types and 43 ammunition of various calibers, on Punjab Border.
