Ferozepur, May 17, 2021:  Four students of border town Ferozepur – two each from SBS State University Poly Wing and Govt Polytechnic College – have been selected during online placement drive by Daikin India – a world’s leading multinational air conditioning Manufacturer Company.

The process of online placement drive comprising of three phases started  during the first week of May, 2021. Out of 58 students who were found eligible as per company’s criteria, 32 have cleared online test. These 32 students have further been called to appear in online rounds of Technical and HR interviews. Finally, 04 students from Diploma are selected; 01 of Mechanical Engg and 03 of Electrical Engg stream. Among the selected students Nitish Singh belongs to Mechanical Engg., while Rohit Raj, Shubhash Kumar and Saurav Yadav are of Electrical Engg stream. Nitish Singh, Rohit Raj and Shubhash are students of SBS State University whereas Saurav Yadavbelongs to GPC, Ferozepur

Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu Vice-Chancellor SBSSU said that the company selected the candidates after rigorous rounds. The company has offered package @ Rs.1.87 lac per annum to the selected students.

Mr. Sujan San and Ms. Rakshita (HR-Daikin India) have coordinated all the process of online placement drive comprising of three phases started w.e.f. first week of May, 2021. Firstly, the students were scrutinized on the basis of eligibility criteria, then online Technical Tests of different branches were conducted. Out of 58 students who were found eligible as per company’s criteria, 32 have cleared online test. These 32 students have further been called to appear in online rounds of Technical and HR interviews.

Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu Vice-Chancellor SBSSU said that the company selected the candidates after rigorous rounds. He proudly said that SBS, Poly Wing, Ferozepur has invited more than 20 Companies for the recruitment of diploma students including Ahresty, WIPRO, Everest India Ltd, Sonalika Tractors, Mikuni India, Kehin Fie, Rockman Industries, Subros Air Conditioning, Anand Automotive Group, Tenneco Automotive, Shri Ram Panels, Asahi India Glass, etc in past few years and the same efforts will be carried out in future too for providing job opportunities to the border belt of Ferozepur for uplifting the technical education in this area. Campus Director Prof. T.S.
