Block Samiti Chairman booked among six in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 1, 2017: The Ferozepur police have booked six persons including Block Samiti Chairman Balwant Singh Rakhri, for murderous attack on his support in a dispute over construction a door in the house towards street.
In the incident one person injured seriously was admitted in the Faridkot Medical College.
A case has been registered against six persons including Block Samiti Chairman Balwant Singh Rakhi under sections 307, 324, 452, 323, 506, 120-B and 34 IPC.
Giving more information, Jaswant Singh of Khushal Singh Wala (Rahri) informed that there is a house of Gurmej Singh in front of his house who tried to construct a door opening towards street about four years back by Darshan Singh and others and a case is also going on in the court.
Today when they tried to open the door and on asking the reason when a court case is pending, Jaswant Singh informed that Manjit Singh in a challenging voice said, Balwant Singh, Chairman Block Samiti has asked them to do so and he even tried to kill him with axe in his hand and in the meantime, Gurmej Singh attacked him with intention to kill him on his nose. The other accomplice Narinder Singh also attacked on Balkar Singh and threatened with dire consequences if reported to the police.
Vinod Kumar, IO investigating into the incident said that on the statement of Jaswant Singh of village Rakhi, a case against six persons Darshan Singh, Gurmej Sinngh, Manjit Singh, Narinder Singh, Nirmal Singh, Balwant Singh, Chairman Block Samiti under various sections and further probe is on.
No arrest has so far been made in this regard.
