‘Bir’ in gutted in fire due to short circuit in Zira sub division inFerozepur

Ferozepur, May 6, 2016: Within a short span, another ‘Bir’ – the holy book – was gutted in fire reported to be due to short circuit at Gurudwara Budda Sahib in Basti Garibanwali in Zira sub division of Makhu on Thrusday afternoon.

As per the information, some construction work was going on in the gurudwara when a fan above the ‘Bir’ fell down and triggered a fire.

A devotee – Chhinder Kaur, a woman from the Basti Gariban Wali, noticed smoke emanating from the premises and raised the alarm, said police sources.
