ATM gang busted in Ferozepur, three arrested

Ferozepur, October 8, 2015:  In a major catch, the city Police today busted an inter-state gang allegedly involved in breaking and looting of automated teller machine (ATM) and arrested five persons besides recovery of mobiles, motor-cycle and material used in looting.

The arrested members of the alleged gang are – Hani Kumar, Harvinder Singh and Rakesh Kumar of Ferozepur.

On arrest, the material used in breaking and looting of ATMs like gas cutter, gas cylinder, motorcycle Splendor Plus, two mobiles Samsung and one sharp edged weapon.

On the night of 2-3 October, 2015, an attempt to loot the ATM was foiled and guard was seriously injured and a case was registered on the complaint of Chief Manager, OBC Simarnjit Singh.

Addressing the press conference, SSP,Ferozepur, Hardayal Singh Mann said, the unidentified miscreants on the night of 2-3 October tried to loot the ATM by injuring Sagar, the security guard.

He further said, a secret information was received and Haney, Harvinder Singh and Rakesh Kumar  were nabbed by the police while planning for another major attempt of loot and recovery of one gas cutter, gas cyclinder, motor cycle, two mobile phones and sharp edged weapon.

SSP said, the police were conducting an investigation into the crime from the arrested accused and more clues are expected to come on surface, about their activities.
