Arun Sekhri takes over as Divisional Commissioner Ferozepur
Ferozepur, October 23, 2023: Senior IAS officer Arun Sekhri, 2004 batch today took over as Divisional Commissioner of Ferozepur.
On his arrival at the Commissioner’s Office Ferozepur, he was welcomed by Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Dhiman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G.) Gagandeep Singh, Assistant Commissioner Suraj, with a bouquet of flowers. He was given a guard of honour by a police contingent on the occasion.
While assuming charge, Commissioner Arun Sekhri said that he is happy that he has got the opportunity to serve in Ferozepur, the land of martyrs. He said that better administration and timely delivery of administrative services to the people would be his primary priority.
On this occasion, he held a brief meeting with the Revenue Department and other officials to get information about the ongoing works/projects etc. in the district and also get infromation about the ongoing paddy procurement arrangements in the district. He said that farmers will not face any problem in the mandis during the season. He asked the officials to carry out the paddy procurement work in a better manner in coordination with each other.
Added here, Arun Sekhri had also served as Commissioner Division Patiala and Labour Commissioner Punjab.
On this occasion, SP (H) Sohan Lal, Tehsildar Pradeep Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Rakesh Agarwal, DSP Surinder Kumar, Superintendent Grade-1 Manmohanjit Singh Rakhra, Superintendent Grade-2 Parminder Singh, Superintendent Grade-2 Vikrant Khurana, Superintendent Joginder Singh and all the staff of the Commissioner’s office were also present.
