Army Sepoy held with opiumFerozepur, March 17, 2021:  A team of CIA staff of police department has arrested Sepoy of the Army allegedly with 2 kg opium.

On a tip-off that the army man is waiting for someone to supply the opium, a raid was conducted the designated place near Gandhi Garden in the Cantonment area and the accused was nabbed and identified as Om Parkash serving in IDSR-56 APO as Sepoy and resident of Matenia Nagar, Matora District Jodhpur (Rajasthan).  A case under NDPS Act has been registered at PS Cantt.

According to the police, opium is easily available in Rajasthan and Om Parkash used to bring opium from there and sell it here at a very expensive price.

Bhagirath Singh Meena, SSP, Ferozepur said that the accused would be interrogated with special focus on, as to how long he is in this illegal business and his other accomplices if any, after taking police remand by presenting him in the court.   Further investigation may lead to further seizures of opium.
