ANTI-DRUG DRIVE: In 11 cases, illegal property of drug smugglers worth Rs.7.04 cr freezed in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, October 9, 2023: Continuing the anti-drug drive campaign in the district, the Ferozepur police, after getting orders from the Competent Authority at Delhi, freezed the property worth Rs.77,08,044 constructed with illegal means with purchase and sale of drugs at village Chappal Riki – Mare Kalan under Guruharsahai police station and in 11 such cases, the illegal property of drug smugglers worth Rs.7.04 cr freezed in Ferozepur
Divulging with details, SSP Ferozepur Deepak Hillori said, the property freezing orders have been displayed at the site of Parkash Singh alias Mintu resident of Bare K/Chappa Riki under Sections 68F-2 of NDPS Act 1985 and action is underway over freezing of property of 15 more drug smugglers.
Divulging with details of the property, SP(D) Randhir Kumar under whose tutelage, the teams are working, said, a case was registered against Parash Singh alias Mintu on recovery of 31.900 kg heroin, one pistol, 61 rounds and 4 magazines under NDPS Act by Revenue Intelligence Ranjit Avenue Amritsar.
In the said case, Parkash Singh was sentenced for 15 years imprisonment with fine of Rs.2 lac. The illegal property made with sale of banned drug substances under NDPS include 64 kanals land at village Mare Kalan in Guruharsahai vauing Rs.64 lacs, Honda Active of Rs.57,119, Mohindera 575 DI Tractor of Rs.4.82 lac and Marutu Sazuki car of Rs.7,68,925 having total value of Rs.77,08,0444.
SSP said, in all the 11 cases under NDPS Act, the property worth Rs.7,04,14,737 have been freeezed which the accused cannot sale or transfer to anyone. 12 more cases of drug smugglers have been sent to the Competent Authority to get the freezing orders while the work is going on 15 more drug smugglers on the similar grounds.
