Anmol Beri –DC for a Day is now Brand Ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign
Ferozepur, September 14, 2019: Anmol Beri, the specially-abled girl of 11th class, with 2’-8” height, with a locomotor disability has been declared as Brand Ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign in Ferozepur District.
Appreciating the confidence of Anmol and dedication of her parents despite physical disability, Chander Gaind, Deputy Commissioner, “I salute to Anmol’s level of thing at such a young age and she will definitely touch the targeted goal”.
Anomol Beri on becoming DC for a day said, my dream of becoming an IAS Officer has been fulfilled and it was a wonderful experience. Today’s event has created more determination and confidence in me to complete my studies to crack the competition for civil services.
Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA Ferzezpur who was especially present on this occasion, said I will write to CM to nominate Anmol as State Brand Ambassador for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.
Anmol has become proud of the Ferozepurians of a border town. Her parents deserve all outstanding appreciation for taking care of the physically disabled child in all odds. The self-confidence of Anmol is a message for those parents who reject the girl child. After Anmol’s becoming a DC for a day, she is now a role model for others said, Rattandeep Kaur Sandhu, District Programme Officer and looking after the Beti Bachao, Bedi Padhao campaign in the district.
Anmol spoke so fluently in English when a call was made to her from outside on landline phone through Chander Gaind Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur. Expressing her feeling, Anmol said, I am feeling on top of the world with fulfilling my dream for one-day DC which I hope to crack after completion of my college studies.
