AICTE organizes one week short term training programme on MMCE-2019
Ferozepur, July 6, 2019: The Department of Chemical Engineering of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur organized AICTE sponsored one week multi-disciplinary Short Term training Program on ‘Mathematical Methods and Computations in Engineering (MMCE-2019)’ from 1st to 6th July’2019 in which more than 100 faculty members from different technical institutes of India participated. The main aim of the course was to make the faculty aware of the usefulness, utility of various mathematical techniques in research and actual engineering problems.
Director, Dr. T. S. Sidhu inaugurated the training program as Chief Guest and addressed the participants highlighting the importance of the mathematical methods. Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Dr. Rajiv Arora welcomed the participants on one week training program. The Program Co-ordinator, Dr. Pankaj Kalra acquainted the participants about the contents of the one week training program.
Expert speakers from various eminent organizations were invited to deliver lectures on the different areas of Mathematical methods. Dr V. K. Kukreja, Prof.- SLIET Longowal., Dr S K Srivastava, Prof.- BCET Gurdaspur, Dr N K Grover and Dr Satvir Singh, Prof – IKGPTU, Kapurthala, Dr Anuj Sharma, Prof – DAV College, Jagraon and Dr R K Arya, Prof – NIT Jalandhar were among the expert lectures during the training program. The certificates were distributed on the last day to all the participants by Dr Lalit Sharma, Associate Director of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur.
