Ferozepur, July 16, 2016 :Manpreet Singh Badal – Congress leader and chief of party’s manifesto committee on finance Manpreet Singh Badal estranged nephew of Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister Punjab – today addressed the huge gathering of Congress workers to support the candidature of Parminder Singh Pinki, Congress MLA in the coming Assembly elections.
Expressing pleasures over massive gathering of Congress workers, Manpreet Singh Badal said, I have to rub my eyes to believe myself what I am seeing. If such is the response from the public, Capt Amarinder’s government is definitely to come in power in the coming Assembly elections.
During his address, he used couplets of Sufi Saints – Farid and Bulle Shah along with short stories comparing power of Badal’s. Attacking on Chief Minister and Dy.CM, they are weak than the weakest bird sparrow.
Showing love for Punjab after visiting various countries, Manpreet said, Punjab is the best place to live but the ruling government has put under debt due to drugs, unemployment and high inflation. On inflation, you may judge yourself as to whether it has increased or decreased during the 9 years tenure of Akali-BJP government.
Attacking on senior and junior Badals, he said, now there is no one left in the family to be adjusted as all are occupying high posts. Unemployment is for the common man and danger is not Badals but to the people of Punjab.
Clearly stating his aim of visit, Manpreet said, So, I have come to seek your cooperation to bring the Congress in power and it will become a voice of people of Punjab.
Talking about the eradication of drugs, Manpreet in a clear concept said, there is need to catch its suppliers, the problem of drug addiction will automatically be solved.
Speaking about the role of former Punjab BJP President, Kamal Sharma, Manpreet remarked that he is like, “Uppar to ladai, andhar to bhai” – he poses as fighting but internally he is supporting.
In reply to the query from media persons as to how many seats will Congress win, Manpreet looks to be diplomatic in saying atthis stage, “Only the astrologer could tell”.
To another query, he said, Punjab State is weak on account economic, unemployment and business fronts and the state can have real progress, if Congress comes to power.
Regarding holding of elections, he confidently said, Congress party is ready for election at any time.
On SYL, he said, Congress will take its stand which has already been taken by Capt Amarinder Singh during his tenure.
Singla former MP who was also present shared to a question from media, AAP is the B Team of RSS. Sangat Darshan are like Akali Darshan, he added.
Parminder Singh Pinki, Congress MLA conveying thanks on the visit of Manpreet Badal also accused the ruling government for not making the various projects operational despite arranging sanctions and funds from the Centre. Pinki also dared Sukhbir Badal to contest the elections from Ferozepur and see the security is forfeited.
