Ferozepur, December 29, 2024: A thought-provoking seminar on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare was held which was hosted by the Oncology Department of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital.
The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Singh Sandha, Ph.D., a prominent AI expert and alumnus of UCLA, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Pardeep Garg. The event drew over 60 attendees, including medical professionals, researchers, and students, with notable participation from Dr. Romi and other renowned experts in the field.
Dr. Sandha showcased the immense potential of AI in modern medicine, presenting practical applications such as AI-driven models for breast cancer detection, predictive analytics for type 2 diabetes, and advanced interventions for optimizing patient care. He also introduced simplified prototypes to help healthcare professionals integrate AI technologies seamlessly into their practices.
Highlighting his cutting-edge research, Dr. Sandha discussed the use of neural networks in cancer diagnostics and the application of cross-modal AI systems for enhanced medical outcomes. The interactive session concluded with a robust Q&A segment addressing key concerns such as algorithmic bias, ethical considerations, data privacy, affordability, and building trust in AI solutions.
