Abacus has proved to be excellent sport for brain : Doda
Ferozepur, April 25, 2017: The 5th Punjab State Level ID Abacus Masters Competitions was held in Ferozepur and winners got the distinquished title ‘Human Calculator’.
The students from the adjoining districts – Jalandhar, Faridkot, Fazilka, Jalalabad and Ferozepur – participated in this competition.
The two competitions written and mental arthimatic were held and the participants surprised the audience by solving the 8 questions in 8 minutes.
Two students – Shagun Kamnboj and Vishwas won th top titles in junior and senior groups from Ferozepur Kick Centre who were present a gift of Cycle. In Sheet Competition, Vasu Mehta and Jaiska of Kick Centre, Ferozepur Sifat Preet Singh of Innovative Brain, Gaurav Kalra and Agam from Fazilka, Pridhi Gupta from Jalandhar, Simarjeet Kaur from Faridkot, Harsh Lohia from Kotkapura, Arnav Watts from Jalalabad, Niput Goyua from Jaitu bagged the title of Super Champion.
Present among others as Guests were Dr.R.L.Taneja, Miss Sapna Dhawan, Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, Sohan Singh Sodhi.
The anchoring was conducted by Vanita Kataria and Shali Doda.
Gaurav Doda, Organizers said, “Abacus has proved to be excellent sport for brain, and the winners have brought lot of pride to their respective cities and training centres by demonstrating highest level of mathematic skills with the help of hand and eye calculation.”
