A colorful enchanting Teeyan Da Mela organized at Nurpur Sethan in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, September 24, 2017: On the occasion of Vishav Baal Kanya Divas, Mela Teeyan Da – dedicated to meritorious daughters was organized at village Nur Pur Sethan – known as the best village of India, by Shere-e-Punjab and Youth Welfare Clubs in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala and Nehru Yuvak Kendra.

The program was inaugurated by Baldev Singh Bhullar Member District Consumer Forum, Dr. Surjit Singh Sidhu Principal, Ravinder Sharma Program Officer North Region Cultural Center Patiala and Amrik Singh District Public Relations Officer Ferozepur. The event hall was packed with family members, gents, ladies and children dressed in colorful Indian clothes.

The main purpose of organizing this type of event is to expose women by bringing them out to the outside world from their routine house hold work, offer an opportunity to meet with the community and pass time with amusement and joy, wearing dresses of their choices. 

The program started with the group members of the host clubs, with Punjabi song 'Ardas' followed by Assam team with Fishing Dance, Gauti Pua by Odisha, Shiromani Nati Dance by HP were appreciated by one and all.

On this occasion, the celebrities and their parents were honoured for their services in various fields.  Honoured among others were Mrs. Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu of Sayanwala village, Lovepreet Kaur PCS, Kusum Aggarwal PCS, International cricket player Harmanpreet Kaur and their parents were specially honored. Besides, Jashan Kamboj of Rukna Mungla who won the Punjab University Chandigarh elections was also honoured.  

Sarabjit Kaur, popular singer of Punjab, entertained the adience through her famous songs 'Koka Gharya Ve Mahia’ 'Mirza', 'Ghori' and folk songs.

Young singer Sukh Jind also marked his attendance with his song. Mohammad Irshad, the young artist of the Punjab with his melodious voice too enthirlled the audience with his popular songs – Raj Diyan Gallan, Ghum Charkhiya, Chan Kitha Gujari-e-Raat Ve and Kadi Tan Has Ke Bol.

Sarabjit Kaur, popular singer of Punjab, entertains the source through her famous songs 'Maha of Kokka Gharva', 'Mirza', 'Ghoi' and People's Speech. Young singer Sukh Jind attended his song. Mohammad Irshad, the young artist of the Punjab and the voice of bulldog voice, hijrain Meli, by his famous folk songs 'The Things Talking', 'The Walking Whirlwind', 'Chun Kahta Hawa Bolhee', and 'Kadhi To Hass Bolhe Ve'.

Gurcharan Singh Sandhu, DTO, Sarabjit Singh Bedil DYC, Nehru Youth Center, Principal Surjit Singh Sidhu, Akali leader Bhagwan Singh Nambardar, Randeep Handa Deputy Director Dairy Department, Gurkaran Singh Deputy Director Youth Services, former Chairman Ranjit Singh and Kamal Mehta from Bathinda.
