Farmers outfit to register protest on December 3 for non-implementation of agreed demands
Ferozepur, November 26, 2019: Today a deputation of Kissan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee led by Satnam Singh Pannu, District President, Inderjit Singh Kalhiwala, District President, Ranbir Singh Rana, Secretary, Baljinder Singh Talwandi Press Secretary submitted a 10-point memorandum to ADC General Ravinder Singh and SSP Vivek S.Soni for implementation of 14 agreed demands in a meeting with the Chief Minister on September 16.
Talking about the demands, they farmer leaders said, the demands include – release of balance payments of sugarcane, fixing of rate of Rs.350 per qtl on the pattern of Haryana government, giving jobs to three family members of martyrs, completion of inquiry against Inderjit Singh and payment of compensation of Rs.1,64,587, payment of Rs.6,000 per qtl for not burning the crop residues, waiving off of loan of farmers, investigation for grabbing of 31 kanal land by the arthia in Mamdot and cancellation of notification of 14 acre land of farmers for toll plaza in Tarn Taran.
The farmer leaders also announced on the spot to stop rails on December 3, in case the Punjab government showed dilly-dallying attitude in implementation of their demands.
