Ferozepur, September 9-Giving impetus to the state government's commitment to provide job opportunities to every household in Punjab, the district administration is all set to organize a series of job fairs with 8219 job vacancies in 84 companies from September 19 to 26
under Ghar-Ghar Rojgar Yojna.
Presiding over a meeting on Monday, Deputy commissioner Ferozepur Chander Gaind said that these Rozgar melas are going to be organized as a part of mega job fair, where 8219 job opportunities have been arranged for the Ferozepur youth, adding he said that the
representative of 84 companies will do on spot placement by giving job offer letters to the eligible candidates.
Divulging more, Mr. Gaind said that the department of employment generation and training has set a target to benefit around 7000 applicants through this mega job fair including helping them in self-employment.
Mr. Gaind exhorted the unemployed youth especially students to participate in this mega event and take the benefit of this pro-people scheme as there are no shortage of job opportunities.
The deputy commissioner asked the various departments to make elaborated arrangement to organize this event besides directing them any callousness in the duty will be unwarranted and attract strict action.
Mr. Gaind said that the first camp will be organized on September 19 at government polytechnic college Ferozepur followed by similar camps, at Dev Samaj college on September 20, at SBS technical college on September 23 and 24, at Shaheed Udham Singh Punjab universityconstituent college hithar and government college Zira on September 26.
Convening the meeting ADC (D) Mr. Ravinder Pal Singh said that companies like Maruti Suzuki, Reliance, SBI life insurance, ICICI bank, Capitol Hospital, Aditya Birla group ect., will be participating in the event with job offers.
