Kite-flying lovers should restrain from using Chinese kite flying thread: MLA, DC Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 16,2020: The district administration has already banned the use of Chinese thread – known as killer string – for kite flying and all kite-flying lovers should restrain from its use. Rather, a note to this effect is given in the school diary of the students.
An oath was also administered to create awareness among the people not to make use of Chinese thread, to the school heads present
These views were expressed by MLA Parminder Singh Pinki and Deputy Commissioner, Chander Gaind while making an appeal in a meeting with the school heads today in DAC complex. In this meeting Kulwinder Kaur, DEO was also present.
They said, it is very unfortunate for the society that we are making available the Chinese thread to our children. No doubt, the Chinese synthetic or plastic thread has strength but its use has the number of adverse effects on human beings, cattle animals, scooter and cycle drivers, birds and there had been number of cases every year of cutting of fingers, neck and flying birds.
