Police rescued kidnapped child within 6 hrs

Ferozepur, April 17, 2018: Ferozepur police on Tuesday rescued an abducted child, from the clutches of his kidnapper from Ludhiana within six hours of abduction.

A case of kidnapping was registered under No.43 on Monday under Sections 363, 364A and 383 IPC at Mamdot police station against Ashok on the statement of Sunita resident of Bihar presently residing at village Jodhpur (Mamdot).

Sunita who works as a labourer had three children – 2 girls and one boy namely Shankar 7-year-old.  The accused Ashok Kumar was working with Suhwinder Singh of Jodhpur village and threatening Sunita to marry with him otherwise kill his children. On her refusal, Ashok kidnapped Shankar and took him to Ludhiana. Because of continuous threat from Ashok to Sunita, he was tracked and arrested.

SP(H) Amarjit Singh said, the accused will be presented in the court for getting one days’ remand and more clues are likely to come on surface.
