Ferozepur, November 15, 2017: More than 3000 illegal connections will be affected in the city under one-time settlement policy for sewerage and water bill defaulters. Giving details Lakhpat Rai Sachdeva, SDO, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage, Ferozepur Division said that in this regard the notification has already been issued by the state government. He said that under this scheme the residents will have to pay their pending bills until January 15, 2018, without any penalty or interest and they would get ten percent rebate. “A separate provision has been made for illegal sewerage and water connections to get these regularized”, said Rai.

“Under this policy, the rebate is being given to people who have not paid their sewerage and water bills for long. Those who will not deposit their arrears their connections will be cut off.”, he further added.
