Warm welcome to Bhagwan Valmiki idol at Ferozepur
Bhagwan Valmiki Darshan Yatra is a symbol of love, universal brotherhood and compassion : Jindu Ferozepur, November 22, 2016: The idol of Bhagwan Valmiki was given a warm welcome on entering the Ferozepur near Sayanwala village by Joginder Singh Jindu, MLA Rural. He said the idol of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji – six foot, gold plated – is a symbol of love, universal brotherhood and compassion. Jindu said during the ‘darshan yatra’, the golden idol of Bhagwan Valmiki will route through the various villages and cities of Punjab to pay obeisance and respect. “The route of the religious procession has been planned in such a manner that people from all faiths could pay their obeisance and reverence to Bhagwan Valmiki with religious spirit and enthusiasm,” he said. He further said, the idol would be installed at at Bhagwan Valmiki Sthal (Ram Tirath) at Amritsar on December 1 during a mega state-level function being organized on this historic occasion. He said, we are thankful the Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal for constructing a memorial of Bhagwan Valmiki at a cost of Rs.200 crore. He said, this memorial will keep alive the life, teachings and values of Bhagwan Valmiki in whole of the world and helpful to retain the rich heritage of great guru who have given the message of supreme values of humanity, humility and divinity. On this occasion, Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner said, the Bhagwan Valmiki idol for resting for a night, at Valmiki Mandi, Ferozepur Cantt, will be flagged off on Tuesday, for Talwandi and Moga.
