Statewide protest by Patwaris on dead lock over demands
Ferozepur, May 24, 2016: After a dead lock at all levels between the patwaris and government, fighting for their genuine demands since long, today, Revenue Patwar Union handed over the charger of demands to all the MLAs in the state to show their resentment and staged protested outside the DAC complex in Ferozepur led by Harmeet Vidyarathi, District President of the Union.
Addressing the protesters, Harmeet Vidyarathi warned the Punjab Government that in case their demands are not accepted, they will intensify the agitation in the coming days.
He further announced to boycott the Fard Kendras and computer work from May 28 to June 6 and also plans for more harsh steps to register their protest.
The rally was attended in good numbers of patwaris and those addressed include Sadhu Singh Sran, Pritam Singh, Satpal Singh Shahwala and others.
It is however, added that one Patwari was also nabbed by the vigilance bureau today for accepting bribe of Rs.15,000 at village Kutbewala.
