Ferozepur Rail Division bagged prestigious National Energy Conservation Awards
Ferozepur, December 15, 2015: National Energy Conservation awards for 2015 were delivered in a function at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi by Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power,Coal, New and Renewable Energy in the Govt. of India.
Giving this information, Anuj Parkash, DRM Ferozepur said, Ferozepur Division has been nominated in three categories – first in Hospital to Ferozepur Divisional Hospital and two awards in Stations to Amritsar and Jalandhar Cantt.
He said, there was a saving for energy conservation in Ferozepur – 30-70% in lighting, installation of GSM based pumps, astronomical timers besides total saving during the year to the tune of 3.5 lakh unit at Amritsar station and 1.14 lakh units at Jalandhar Cantt.
In lump-sum, an amount of Rs.13.28 lakh on Ferozepur Divisional Rail Hospital, Rs.42.74 lakh on Amritsar Station, Rs.21.18 lakh on Jalandhar Cantt station in one go resulted in yearly profit of Rs.11.34 lakh in Hospital, Rs.35.86 lakh in Amritsar and Rs.14.44 lakh in Jalandhar Cantt stations, he added.
