Vigilance Bureau nabs JE Mandikaran Board in Ferozepur in bribe case
Ferozepur, September 30, 2015: The Vigilance Bureau (VB) sleuths today nabbed red-handed a Junior Engineer of Punjab Mandikaran Board in Ferozepur allegedly while accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000.
Kewal Krishan, the accused, had allegedly demanded a bribe from Harinder Pal Singh son of Jaskaran Singh resident of Faridkot of Rs.25,000 and the deal was struck for Rs.15,000 to be given on 29th September , for passing a bill of the balance payment of Rs.50 lac against the total work of Rs.1.80 crore while the payment of Rs.1.30 crore had already been released.
Working on the complaint, the VB team laid a trap and nabbed the JE. A case under PC Act has been registered under Sections 7, 13(2) 88 with government witnesses as Mukhtiar Singh ADO of Chief Agri. Officer,Ferozepur, Mohinder Singh Clerk of DEO Sech Ferozelpur and shadow witness Maghar Singh son of Katha Singh of Faridkot for recovery of bribe amount of Rs.15,000 on the spot, from the pant worn by accused Kewal Krishan JE.
