Ferozepur, May 13, 2015: The railways have intensified the checking operation at the stations and in the trains in the Ferozepur Rail Division after the receipt of threatening letter in the office of DRM in the name of terrorists’ organization Lakshar-e-Toiba, under the name of Area Commander Karim Ansari a few days back.
Efforts were being made by the railways security officials to crack the source of dispatch of letter. But one thing is certain that security at the railway stations and in the trains in the division has been intensified in view of threat to blow up the stations on May 15. It is also said that threat to kill the Chief Minister and Governor of Rajasthan has also been indicated in the letter.
According to Anuj Parkash, DRM, such letters cannot be ignored and as such elaborate arrangements of security in the division have been made. Even the teams of security officials in plain clothes have also been constituted for the safety of the passengers and are working under its secret plans.
Today morning, a special checking including searing of luggage of the passengers was conducted by the RPF and GRP jointly and seriously in Jammu Tavi train at Ferozepur Cantt railway station.

The railways have also arrested two persons namely Sarbjit Singh Jagdish Parshad, Hari Shankar and Dhudh Nath for doing the business of illegal sale of tickets from Ludhiana, Amritsar and Verka stations in Ferozepur Division and booked them under Section 134 of Railways Act.
