Covid-19 outbreak challenges for housewives during lockdown at home – who else can help?
Covid-19 outbreak challenges for housewife during lockdown at home – who else can help?
Do you believe we always need Corona? No, not at all. But we have to learn the art of living with it as it is going to take a long time to overpower it by our medical fraternity.
Away from the mocking world, we are now with our families. The eyes that used to yearn to see us are now homebodies. Golu Molu and Chunmun’s stories have revived again with Grandma’s old potpourri. Don’t you find it rather peaceful than that of the artificial world that is vile? But at the same time, this is rather a challenging clock for the housewife who is struggling day and night. The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut down all across the world. As a result, education has changed dramatically with the distinctive rise of E-Learning. The mothers have to teach their kids in the same way as teaching happens in the real classroom which consumes time and energy.
As everyone is staying indoors, the household chores are also on the increase which is extremely difficult for a housewife to do them alone.
Amidst this pandemic, everyone has donned the chef’s cap and trying cooking various dishes. In one or the other way the housewife is taken to task. As far as my opinion is concerned; the duty of a housewife has become 24* 7 these days.
However, the current lockdown has restricted the movement of people from one place to another; due to which maids are not allowed to enter some prone areas. The cleaning of the house, washing clothes etc. are again a big deal for a housewife.
At times, when the situation was normal; a housewife used to pass her leisure time by watching TV serials when the students were in school and the husband had gone to office. But this unprecedented scenario has brought everything to halt. No new TV serial is shown and old TV serials are telecasted.
To conclude, I would say that this lockdown period has brought entertainment too, to an end. One must understand that it is not only the duty of housewives to do all the household chores but also the family members must help the unsung heroes.
