76 Corona positive in a single day in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, July 30, 2020: Detection of 76 Corona positive cases in Ferozepur on a single today are the highest figure since the outbreak of virus in the city which includes NRIs, BSF  jawans, prisoners, police staff and Bank employees and one death.

As per the information, the total positive cases figure in the district has gone to 404 with 190 active cases and seven deaths.  However, as many as 212 corona positive cases have recovered and discharged.

Among the 76 Corona positive reported today are three NRIs, 3  BSF jawans, six HDFC bank employees besides from various residential areas in the district.  In the 30 new cases, 7 are pregnant woman and in the 42 contact cases, two are prisoners and two are frontline policemen.

Keeping in view the alarming situation in the district arising out of  COVID-19 pandemic, the district administration has suspended the public dealing in the district administrative complex – DAC – house the offices of the various departments including the Deputy Commissioner and set up two suggestion boxes to deal with them and released the contact numbers to get the latest status of their work.

The government has also designated Divisional Forest Officers as Covid Patient Tacking Officer – CPTO to ensure effective coordination and expeditious response at the district level by tracking of patients.
