50 Covid +ve cases reported in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 2, 2021: On Friday, 50 Corona positive cases have been reported in Ferozepur with 40 recoveries.
As per the available data, out of total of 112030 samples were taken – 98993 for RTPCR, 40609 Rapid Antigent Test and 2428 Truenat were taken out of which 104722 were found negative, 5343 were positive, 4852 recovered and 325 still active in the district. Since the outbreak of the virus in the district, 167 deaths have occurred including one today. However, the results of the 1965 samples were still awaited.
Despite the availability of the Covid-19 vaccine, against registration of only 26573, so far 23634 have been vaccinated of 60 plus, 45 to 59 years and frontline workers, at government and private hospitals, for first and second doses which comes to 86.9 percent.
The district administration and health department, while intensifying the Covid sample testing, has advised to follow the Corona guidelines and come forward for vaccination to win over the virus.
