350 gm heroin seized from fields dropped by drone in Ferozepur’s village
Ferozepur 28 December 2023: Over 100 drones shot down along border by the BSF during the current year and the seizure of 500 kg heroin speaks about the vigilant jawans on duty in the border villages as against last year recovery of 316 kg of heroin and 190 drone intrusions reported in the state, in which 22 drones were brought down or seized by the BSF.
At the same time, it indicates that the Pakistani-based agencies have been trying to use the aerial mode to carry out their drugs operations. On a tip-off with the police, the recent recovery of 350 gm heroin was made, in the field of Darshan Singh, at Machhiwara village, reported to be dropped by the drone.
Meanwhile a case against the unknown person has been registered under the Air Craft Act 1934 and NDPS Act by taking into possession of the heroin recovered from the fields.
