3 years’ baby poisoned to death

Ferozepur, September 10, 2017:  Unbelievable – a mother could put to death a child of the neighbor due to personal enmity for raising finger on her character.  Yes, a heartrending incident of killing of a three years baby was poisoned to death in village Lalchian in Mamdot block near Ferozepur.

As per information available, the accused Sumitra wife of Buta Singh and Pooja wife of Gora Singh were neighbors and friends. Somehow Sumitra was under impression that Pooja was spreading sham news in the village which was deteriorating her image in the village.

Enraged over this, Sumitra, forcibly poisoned the kid by putting salfas tablets in his mouth yesterday night when he had gone to village Gurdwara along with his sisters. Later, a case under sections 302 IPC was registered at Lakho Ke Behram police station (Case number 98 Dated 10.09.2017) following a complaint lodged by the father of the deceased. Ashok Kumar, investigation officer said that the body has been sent for the postmortem and a hunt had been launched to nab the accused.
