241 COVID-19 +ve cases, one death reported in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 21, 2022: During the last fortnight, 1,609 COVId-19 +ve including 241 in a single day today have been reported in the district with one death.
Girish Dayalan Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the health officials and local NGOs to tap all sources to speed up the Covid-19 vaccination in the district.
He said, to ensure the conduct of elections following Covid protocols, today asked the media persons to give due coverage to this important issue for the people to come forward for vaccination besides asking NGOs to keep ready the list of persons so that health officials team could reach at the designated place, to protect the vulnerable population.
As per the medial bulletin, 857 are active cases in the district with recovery of 88 persons while the result of 605 samples is still awaited.
In all, 3,4,104 samples have been taken in the district, out of which 3,27,398 reported as negative, 16,101 positive, 14,735 recovered since the outbreak of Coronavirus in this part. However, there had been 509 deaths in the district including one of today of 50 years female in block Ferozepur.
In Ferozepur district, 3,26,242 say 75 percent have been given first dose of Covid vaccine and 1,53,437 say, 40 percent second dose. Also, 5,001 youths of 15-18 years have been given first dose and 432 of over 60 years age have been given booster dose.
