BSF organizes 14-km “Run for Martyrs – Plantation Drive” from Hussainiwala
Ferozepur, July 30, 2022: Border Security Force (BSF) Sector Headquarter Ferozepur has organized a 14 km run and Plantation Drive with motto “Run for Martyrs” Salute to war heroes, spirit of Fit India Movement and to Spread awareness about ” Har Ghar Tiranga ” on the Independence Day .
The race started from SHQ BSF Campus Ferozepur to JCP Hussainiwala for 14 km . The flag off ceremony was done by Brig Surendra Mehta VSM (Retd), DIG SHQ BSF Ferozepur who himself participated in it with enthusiasm. After the completion of race, Brig Surendra Mehta, VSM (Retd) distributed the prizes for winners as well as other BSF personnel who have done outstanding performance during their duties.
Followed by this, BSF troops carried out a plantation drive by planting Kinnu trees at JCP Hussainiwala premises. These types of sports activities are a step to commemorate the “Kargil Vijay Diwas” and motivations for Fit India Movement as well as have motivated and encouraged the civil population of Ferozepur to a great extent to keep themselves physically fit and sturdy.
