17 Micro Containment Zones declared in Ferozepur, 47 fresh Corona +ve cases surfaced

Ferozepur, August 18, 2020:  Another 47 Corona positive cases and one death have been reported taking the total tally to 1165 and 18, in Ferozepur district.

As per the information, with addition of 47 fresh cases, the total active cases in the district are 662 with 18 deaths. However, 485 Corona positive patients have also been cured.

In the fresh cases, 22 are new influenza infection cases while 25 are from contacts which include 7 pregnant women, 7 police officials, 2 prisoners, one domestic traveler, while 12 contacts of other positive cases.

In view of the sudden spike in Corona positive cases, 166 on Monday and 47 today, the Civil Surgeon has recommended declaring 17 Micro Containment Zones in the district.
