15 years on Pharmacy Officers wait for regularization, to hold protest rally at Patiala
Ferozepur, March 17, 2021: Still waiting for regularization of their services by working for 15 years on a contractual basis, in 1186 rural health dispensaries under the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats across Punjab, the Rural Health Pharmacy Officers Association, Punjab has decided to hold a Protest Rally at Patiala on March 22.
Giving this information, Hanu Tiwari, State President said, they are being shifted to the health department without giving any financial benefit and there is no proposal to regularize them even after working for 15 years on a contract basis.
The Association has decided to hold a Protest Rally at Patiala on March 11, as the present government too has completed its four years tenure without taking any decision, he said.
The agitation is likely to be intensified in case their demand to regularize them is not given a practical shape. This time, the agitation will be with the ‘do or die’ strategy, he added.
