10 years on, Sandeep Kumar Computer Faculty moving from pillar to post to get justice
Despite on election duty, Education Department terminates Computer teacher
Ferozepur, May 8, 2018: Sandeep Kumar, Computer Faculty who joined the Education Department on May 12, 2006, and terminated on July 30, 2008, after following the procedure, is moving from pillar to post to get justice for wrongful termination of his services.
Sandeep Kumar along with his father Chand Kiran Sharma addressing the media persons at the Press Club Ferozepur divulged the details of the case.
He stated that after his posting at Kasssuana School on March 3, 2006, he joined Govt. Girls Sr. Sec School Zira on May 9, 2006. Later on, he was deployed with the Elections office in the office of SDM 95-Assembly Constituency Ferozepur.
However, during the visit of Asstt State Project Director (Administration), Chandigarh he opined about his temporary duty and returning him back to parent department. Later on, he has issued a show cause notice and terminated on July 3, 2008. He also made an appeal against these orders and on getting no response, he moved to the court. However, the appeal was rejected by giving a hearing on June 20, 2012.
Sandeep also made a representation to the Principal Secretary, Punjab Government Education Department and during the hearing the DEO office showed ignorance of having received any letter of his election duty whereas all such documents were obtained through the RTI.
On another appeal to the DGSE, Punjab which too was rejected and doors the court of law was knocked which ordered for issuing the self-speaking orders. But this appeal was also rejected by the Additional Chief Secretary.
Finally, Sandeep has filed another petition in the High Court and notice of motion has been issued to seven authorities and the next date of hearing is fixed as October 3, 2018.
Sandeep said it is more than ten years that he is moving from moving pillar to post to get justice. There looks to be lack of coordination between the education department and DC Office. On the one hand, I have been put on election duty and I have been regularly marked present and released wages whereas, on the other hand, a false report was sent by the DEO that no such orders for his election duty were received.
Sandeep feels frustrated over the system and hopes to get justice from the court of law.
Since the case is sub-judice, none of the of the official of education department commented on the termination of Sandeep Kumar.
