10 deaths, 181 COVID-19 +ve cases reported in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, May 10, 2021:  Ten deaths and 181 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Ferozepur taking the total tally of positive cases in Ferozepur, as on date to 9,167 positive cases and 268 deaths, since the outbreak of virus in the district.

As per record 1,41,787 samples were taken, out of which 1,31,970 were reported negative,  8,996 positive, 7,457 recovered and still 1,452 cases were active while the result of 650 samples are still awaited.

Among  ten deaths, 7 are male and three female of the age group between 48-80 years in Ferozeur Urban, Mamdot Ferozshah, Guruharsahai, and Zira blocks.  The total deaths during the month of April are 49.

In the vaccination drive, 853 persons of 45 plus age including frontline and health workers were given Covid vaccination and so far, 81,451 persons have been vaccinated in the district.

Civil Surgeon has once again appealed to the people to come out of their house only in emergent need and continue to follow the Corona guidelines of the district administration from time to time, to at least control the further spread of virus.
