10 acres of panchayat land freed in Ferozepur illegally occupied since 30 years

Ferozepur, May 20, 2022: As part of a statewide drive, the Punjab department of rural development and panchayats on Thursday, freed 10 acres, 2 kanals, 10 marlas of panchayat land at village Gulam Hussain Wala having, illegally occupancy for the last 30 years, acting on the directions received from Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.

Added here, CM Bhagwant Mann has given an ultimatum till May 31 to the illegal occupants. Mann made it clear that people should give up illegal occupations immediately. If possession is obtained after that, the old expenses will also be added. The recovery will be based on the amount of income that could be earned from farming or other activities on the land. A case will also be registered against him.

Present on this occasion were BDPO Gurmit Singh Kahlon, Satwinder Singh Virk, DSP, Santokh Singh Kanungo, Ashwani Kumar, Panchayat Officer, Ajay Kumar AEPO, Manoj Kumar Panchayat Secretary, Joginder Singh and others were present.
