Zira’s Dope Test negative, signature campaign against Sukhbir from March 1
Ferozepur January 29, 2019: The Dope Test result of Kulbir Singh Zira, MLA from Zira was negative while the Health Department kept waiting for Sukhbir Singh Badal, former Dy.CM and SAD President.
In response to the statement by Sukhbir Badal at Bathinda calling Kulbir Zira as ‘drug addict’, he had challenged Sukhbir Badal to undergo for Dope Test along with him. Congress MLA had said that he would himself undergo the dope test first and asked the SAD chief to do the same.
On the request of Kulbir Zira, a five-member team was also constituted following verbal instructions from the Health Minister, to be present in his constituency, at the venue of Sukhbir Badal’s programme of Workers Milan Samaroh at Zira.
On Sukhbir Badal not going for a dope test, Kulbir Zira said, in case Badal don’t go in for dope test within a month, he would start a signature campaign to call him ‘Sukha Amli’ from March 1 in all 117 constituencies.
Kulbir Zira said I will also file an RTI about the status of firearms license of Sukhbir. If he possesses a firearms license, he will have to undergo for a dope test, said Congress MLA.
A heavy police force was deployed to avoid any untoward incident at Zira between Congress and Akali workers. As per the sources, more than one thousand Punjab Police officials, 5 SP DSP rank officials were deployed to avoid any clash at the venue of Akali workers meet.
