Youth injured when unidentified persons opened fire in private hospital
Ferozepur, July 30, 2018: The situation became tense when a youth was injured seriously when unidentified persons opened fire in a private hospital on the backside of Civil Hospital in Ferozepur City. The youth had gone to the hospital to ask about the well-of his close relative.
Immediately on getting the information, the police officials reached the spot of the incident and started investigating the case.
As per the information, Harpreet Singh said, Gurkiratan Singh, son of Nirvair Singh of Killi village had come to the hospital to see his relative.
Harpreet Singh alleged that when Gurkirtan Singh was standing outside the hospital and in the meantime some unidentified youths fired three shots on Gurkirtan Singh and the bullets just passed near him. Gurkirtan Singh immediately entered in the hospital to save his life and he was followed by unidentified persons and fired two shots on him. He was injured seriously on his legs where he is under treatment of doctors.
A case is being registered on the statement of Gurkirtan Singh, said local SHO. Two empty cartridges were found in the place of incident in the hospital and as per the CCTV footage collected, there were three unidentified motorcycle-borne youths. Further investigation is on to nab the accused.
