Woman among two arrested with habit-forming drugs
Ferozepur, December 30, 2020: The CIA wing of police have arrested woman among two arrested in two different areas of the district on Tuesday and recovered a huge cache of habit-forming drugs from their possession.
The police have also registered two separate cases against them. The accused have been identified as Harjinder Simgh of village Chak Kande Shah under Guruharsahai Police Station and Sonia of Adarsh Nagar, Guruharshai.
According to Jaspal Singh CIA Staff Incharge “The police had been patrolling near villagePindi wjena tip-off was received about the accused waiting for the customers in village Juvaye Singh Wala road near Dune Wala village bridge for sale of habit forming drugs. The other team was patrolling for keeping an eye on suspicious nature persons at Golu Ka Moud when in-put was received one accused Sonia is waiting for the customers to sell the drugs.
Working on the in-puts, the raids were conducted and intercepted them and on frisk the police recovered 1,000 habit forming drugs of Lubtic-RS and 2,500 tablets of Tramadol respectively, he said.
The drugs recovered from the alleged accused fall under schedule-H drugs. The accused used to sell the drugs among youth in their area, he added.
