Wife’s dream to accompany husband abroad shattered
Ferozepur July 27, 2018: Despite, reporting of daily frauds in the name of the craze for foreign land over employment or through legalize or dummy marriages but what about if you go for the issuance of new passport and you get a surprise on knowing that the same stands issued with the face of another girl.
Yes, it happened in a case when the police registered a case of new nature that a lady married to a person was informed that the passport in her name stands issued with some other face. Her dream to accompany husband to visit abroad stands shattered.
In a complaint to the police, Mandeep Kaur daughter of Harbans Singh wife of Sarbjeet Singh resident of House No.1 SAS Nagar Enclave, Zirakpur Hall, Zira stated that when she visited the passport office Chandigarh a passport under No.275897 on July 9, 1999, in the name of another unidentified lady under the name of complainant.
Gurdeep Singh who has been appointed as IO, in this case, informed that a case has been registered under Section 420, 465, 468, 120B of IPC. No arrest has been made so far in this case and the matter is still under investigation.
It looks that either the husband has cheated with his wife by getting the issued the passport in the name of another girl or there is something fishy at the level of Passport authorities as the marriage certificate is required for adding the name of the spouse before issuing the passport.
